Subi Suresh, a Malayalam actor and television host, died early Wednesday in Kochi. She was 41 years old. Tiny Tom, a comedian and mimicry artist, confirmed Ms Suresh’s death on Facebook.

Subi Suresh, a television actress and anchor, died on Wednesday. She was 42 years old. The actress was being treated at a private hospital in town for liver problems. She was scheduled to undergo a liver transplant procedure. Ramesh Pisharody, a comedian, recently paid a visit to the actress in the hospital.

Subi, known for her quick wit and humour, began her career as a dancer and comedian in various stage shows. Subi went on to star in the comedy series ‘Cinemala’ and Surya TV’s ‘Kutty Pattalam’. She has also co-hosted shows such as ‘Made for Each Other’ with Mazhavil Manorama. She has also appeared in a number of shows both in and out of the country.

Subi, who was born in Tripunithura, was living in Ernakulam’s Koonammavu. She went on to work as a dancer in various stage shows after graduating from St Teresa’s College. Her mimicry and solo acts were also well received. She is also a Cochin Kalabhavan product.

Years ago, Ms Suresh began her career as a mimicry artist in the Cochin Kalabhavan.

Rajasenan directed her first film, ‘Kanaka Simhasanam,’ which was released in 2006. According to Manorama, she appeared in over 20 films, including Grihanathan, Thaksara Lahala, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Drama, and Kaaryasthan.

She was well-known for her slapstick roles and on-stage dialogue delivery. Ms Suresh had a large fan base among both small and large audiences.

Ms Suresh appeared in various avatars in the popular television series ‘Cinemala’ and also made a name for herself in Surya TV’s ‘Kutty Pattalam’. She has also co-hosted shows such as ‘Made for Each Other’ with Mazhavil Manorama.
