Shah Rukh Khan vs Virat Kohli: “Who is a bigger personality and achiever globally?” a Twitter user polled on March 28. There were two options: a) Shah Rukh Khan and b) Virat Kohli. Even before the poll results were released, a feud erupted between Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan fans. Despite receiving 8.8% more votes than Shah Rukh Khan, both camps disagree on who is more iconic.
Fans began tweeting in support of their favourite athletes, and both Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan became trending topics on Twitter. We’ve compiled a few responses below.
While supporters of both sides continue their Twitter feud that neither side requested, a few have stated that both are India’s pride and represent the country globally. “Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan are both the pride of India,” one Twitter user wrote. Both represent our country around the world! Stop this childish brawl!” “I’m not sure what’s wrong with some #SRK and #ViratKohli fans.” Why are you fostering such animosity towards one another? Don’t you realise they’re both the pride of India… Stop demeaning them both… What a pity…” I’ve added another.
As a Kohli fan, I apologise to SRK fans and appeal them not to trend SRKIANS KA MOOT KOHLI and DESHDROHI VIRAT CHOKLI 🙏🏿
As a Kohli fan, I accept my defeat to all SRKians.
