The Wait is over for Kantara OTT Release. Rishab Shetty’s Kannada mega blockbuster ‘Kantara’ has started streaming on Prime Video this week. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, the superhit Kannada film was released in theatres on September 30.

Kantara is now available on Prime Video as of today, November 24. Rishab Shetty, who also plays the film’s protagonist Shiva, expressed excitement about Kantara’s global digital premiere on Prime Video.

Kantara revolves around a small community living in the Kaadubettu woodlands in the southern coastal state of Karnataka. Weaving an intriguing plot of human versus nature conflict, in which death causes war between villagers and evil forces, and Shiva, a rebel, defends his village and nature.
Kantara movie will now be available to Prime members in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu language dubs only.

Where and when you can watch Kantara?
Initially, the film was only available in Kannada with English subtitles. Following the film’s initial success, the creators dubbed it in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam, and the box office figures have skyrocketed. According to sources, the satellite and digital rights to the film were purchased months in advance. Kantara will be available on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run, but due to its success on the big screen, the creators have yet to specify a release date.
On the other hand, Kantara will be the first ever Kannada movie to be screened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Kantara, directed by Vijay Kiragandur and produced by Hombale Films, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 4, 2022. However, no official announcement has been made.
The film, set in 1847, depicts a conflict between humans and nature involving the Kambala and Bhoota Kola tribes. Shiva, a rebel, works against Nature, resulting in battles between villagers and powers. What happens next is a series of events in which Shiva must figure out how to restore harmony in the village.
