Kantara OTT Release: Kantara, directed by Vijay Kiragandur and produced by Hombale Films, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 4, 2022. Kantara, a Kannada film starring actor Rishab Shetty that has received critical and audience acclaim, will be available on the OTT platform soon. The film was initially released in Kannada, but due to widespread popularity, it was dubbed into several languages and future release dates were set.

Where and when you can watch Kantara?

Initially, the film was only available in Kannada with English subtitles. Following the film’s initial success, the creators dubbed it in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam, and the box office figures have skyrocketed. According to sources, the satellite and digital rights to the film were purchased months in advance. Kantara will be available on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run, but due to its success on the big screen, the creators have yet to specify a release date.


On the other hand, Kantara will be the first ever Kannada movie to be screened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Kantara, directed by Vijay Kiragandur and produced by Hombale Films, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 4, 2022. However, no official announcement has been made.

The film, set in 1847, depicts a conflict between humans and nature involving the Kambala and Bhoota Kola tribes. Shiva, a rebel, works against Nature, resulting in battles between villagers and powers. What happens next is a series of events in which Shiva must figure out how to restore harmony in the village.

Kantara, the latest film from actor and director Rishab Shetty, continues to make waves in the film industry with its impressive storytelling and theme. Following in the footsteps of a number of other celebrities, actress Kangana Ranaut is astounded by the subject of the film and the manner in which it is told. She praised the film on social media, calling it ‘unbelievable.’


While ‘Kantara’ debuted in the Hindi market with a massive 1.27 Cr. Net on the first day, its second-day collection was 2.75 Cr. with 3.5 Cr. Net on the third day. Furthermore, despite a drop in ticket prices on Monday, the film recorded a 40 to 50% increase in collection compared to Friday, with 1.75 Cr. Net in the Hindi market, 1.88 Cr. Net on Tuesday, and 1.95 Cr. Net on Wednesday. While ‘Kantara’ continues to perform well at the box office, it has also risen to the top of IMDb’s list of India’s Current Top 250 Films.
