Joker 2: Todd Phillips, the director of the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux, has released the first look at Joaquin Phoenix. The film is a sequel to his 2019 hit Joker, for which he received multiple Oscar nominations and even the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Arthur Fleck.
For the uninitiated, the sequel to the Oscar-winning film Joker has been one of the most anticipated films in the DCEU now DCU. Joaquin Phoenix plays Arthur Fleck, and Lady Gaga plays his Harley Quinn. At this point, it has been in pre-production at Warner Bros. for more than two years. Even with all of the drama going on in the studio, the film appears to be on track.

Sharing the photo on Sunday, Todd wrote on Instagram, “Day 1. Our boy. #joker.” The image showed Arthur, most likely in jail, shaving. He’s shirtless, looking skinnier than ever, with shaving foam on his face as an unknown person shaves him.

According to reports, the film will be set in Arkham Asylum, a medical facility frequented by many of Batman’s villains in the comics. Joaquin and Todd have returned to their previous roles for the new project. Todd and Scott Silver are co-writing the screenplay.
The cast of the upcoming film Joker 2 also includes Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener. Joker: Folie a Deux will be released on October 4, 2024 by Warner Bros.
According to reports, a portion of the film Joker 2 will take place in Arkham Asylum, the hospital that houses a number of Batman’s adversaries in the comic books.
Todd and Joaquin have returned to their original roles for the new project i.e. Joker 2. Todd and Scott Silver are both working on the screenplay. According to reports, the film will be released in 2024.
