Jiah Khan Suicide Case Verdict: In a significant development in the Jiah Khan suicide case, a Mumbai court is expected to rule tomorrow. According to reports, special judge AS Sayyad finished hearing the closing arguments in the case on April 20, after which he reserved the judgment. It will now most likely be announced tomorrow.

“Sooraj has suffered enough,” a close friend of the actor says. He’s had this sword hanging over his head for ten years. He hasn’t had a chance to enjoy anything in the last ten years.”
“Whether he is working, relaxing at home, or spending time with family, the fact that he is an undertrial has followed him around like a shadow.”
As the verdict date approaches, Sooraj experiences a mix of relief and dread.

Rabia Khan, Iah Khan’s mother, discovered her hanging in her house in June 2013. Khan is reportedly said to have prepared a 6-page statement outlining her relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. Jiah’s mother accused Sooraj and his family of ‘mistreating’ Jiah after her death. He was charged with aiding and abetting suicide. Sooraj was detained and eventually released on bail.
Following Sooraj’s release on bail, Jiah’s mother petitioned the Bombay High Court for the investigation to be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In December 2015, the central investigative agency filed a chargesheet charging Pancholi with abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.
Who was Jiah Khan?
Jiah Khan, who hanged herself in her Juhu residence on June 3, was 19 years old when she made her acting debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd in 2007.
In her debut film, opposite the great Amitabh Bachchan, the then 19-year-old English literature graduate made the industry sit up and take note of her confidence and raw sex appeal.
