Captain Gaurav Taneja, also known as Flying Beast, created the largest map of India on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day as part of the nation-unifying patriotic endeavour known as “Aasman Mein Bharat.” Taneja made the announcement about his mission on his social media accounts. Gaurav Taneja is an IITian, an airline captain, a law student, a national-level bodybuilder, and India’s celebrity vlogger, for the uninitiated. He has a massive social media following.

Gaurav Taneja took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that the mission “Aasman Mein Bharat” had been completed. His caption stated, “We made history. Bharat’s largest map. We flew for nearly 3 hours to create the longest map of our country, 350 kilometres long. Thank you for your belief and support. Aasman’s desh mein le jaane ka chota sa prayaas safal raha.”

 

Gaurav, a pilot, drew a large Indian map in the sky as part of the ‘Aasman Mein Bharat’ mission. To create the map, he flew 350 kilometres in three hours.

12 years and 6000 hours of flight time

Gaurav took to Twitter on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day and shared a post about this accomplishment.

According to ANI, a patriotic Indian accomplished a first-ever special historical goal by building the largest map of the world’s largest democracy in the sky on the “Aasman Mein Bharat” mission, the first of its kind in India’s history. Captain Taneja, who has 12 years and 6000 flight hours under his belt, completed this mission in just under 3 hours by flying about 200 nautical miles (roughly 350 kilometres). 139 crore Indians used flight tracking websites to track the entire flight in real time.

 

Gaurav and his wife Ritu, who is also a pilot, only recently informed their fans and followers about their plan to create India’s map in the air.
