For running over his wife with his car, filmmaker Kamal Mishra has been charged under sections 279 (rash driving) and (causing grievous pain by an act endangering life). Mishra’s wife saw him with another woman in the vehicle, according to the police.
“Case registered against film producer Kamal Kishore Mishra at Amboli PS u/s 279 & 338 of IPC for hitting his wife with a car. She claims after the incident she suffered head injuries. We’re searching for the accused. Further investigation underway.” said Ambala Police.

The incident occurred in a residential building’s parking lot in Andheri (West), Maharashtra. Mishra’s wife was injured, according to a police official, and she suffered head injuries.
Following the incident, the filmmaker’s wife filed a complaint at the Amboli police station against her husband. According to the complaint, she went out looking for Mishra and found him inside his car with another woman.
When she attempted to confront him, Mishra drove away, running over his wife in the process.
“The victim is stable and has mostly injured her leg as the car’s wheel went over it,” the official added.
