Actor Kangana Ranaut has started shooting for her next film ‘Emergency’ in Assam. As per reports, Kangana Ranaut is down with high fever, still, she continues to shoot for Emergency In Assam. 

Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress, has begun filming her next film, ‘Emergency,’ in Assam. Her second directorial effort follows her 2019 release ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.’ The actress had previously visited the state in search of filming locations in Kaziranga and Karbi Anglong.

 

Kangana Ranaut will also play former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in ‘Emergency,’ directed by her. The film will tell the story of India’s most significant political event, when Prime Minister Gandhi declared an emergency in the country.

The Emergency lasted 21 months, from 1975 to 1977, and was declared by President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed under Article 352 of the Constitution due to “internal disturbance.” It was decommissioned on March 21, 1977.

On November 2, Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut visited Assam’s Karbi Anglong’s Greenlands in search of locations for the filming of her upcoming political drama ‘Emergency.’

Ranaut also travelled to hilly areas to film the film, which is based on the life of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

In addition, the Bollywood actor visited the Charbura Ingti, Malachi, Kakochang, and Dolamara areas, as well as tea garden areas and Aamtenga Bazaar, Jugalaati of Bokakhat town.

It’s worth noting that after wrapping up her Chandubi tour, the Bollywood queen will spend the night of November 1 in Kaziranga.

The actress arrived at the Hongthor Resort in Ingle Pathar village, Karbi Anglong district, near Kaziranga, amid tight security.

Ranaut, a four-time National Film Award winner, has also enthralled the people of Kaziranga throughout her tour.

Kangana previously completed the Delhi schedule of ‘Emergency’ last month. She revealed it in an Instagram story. She posted a video of one of her team members saying, “It’s a Delhi schedule wrap.”
Kangana Ranaut’s first solo directorial project is ‘Emergency.’ It is based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana playing the late politician.

In addition to Kangana, the film features prominent performances by Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, and Shreyas Talpade.

Aside from ‘Emergency,’ the ‘Queen’ actor has director Sarwesh Mewara’s ‘Tejas’ in the works, in which she will play an Indian Air Force pilot. The film’s official release date is still unknown.
