ASTRO’s K-Pop Star Moonbin Dies: Moonbin of the K-Pop boy band ASTRO was discovered dead at his residence in Seoul’s Gangnam neighborhood on Wednesday, his record company Fantagio confirmed on social media. He was 25.
According to the BBC, Moonbin worked as a model and actor before joining the famed K-pop boy band ASTRO.
He also began acting at an early age, appearing in the iconic K-drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ as the younger version of actor Kim Bum’s character.

K Pop Star Moonbin engaged in Fantagio’s training curriculum as a child before eventually joining ASTRO. On February 23, 2016, he made his debut with the band.
According to news agency AFP, the K-Pop artist also joined ASTRO’s first sub-group, Moonbin & Sanha, which debuted on September 14, 2020.

Moonbin and Sanha were scheduled to play at the next Dream Concert, one of South Korea’s major K-pop joint performances, in May, however the event has been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Seoul Police confirmed that the death was caused by suicide, saying, ‘It appears that Moonbin took his own life,’ and adding, ‘We are currently exploring the possibility of an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.’
