On Thursday, a new poster for Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush was unveiled. Prabhas shared the poster on Instagram, starring himself as Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Laxman. Hanuman was seen kneeling in front of the three as they stood together in the poster.

The caption for the poster read, “Mantron se badhke tera naam, Jai Shri Ram” (Your name is greater than mantra, Jai Shri Ram). The caption was written in English, Hindi, and Telugu. In addition, he used the hashtags Jai Shri Ram, Ram Navmi, and Adipurush.

The film, starring Prabhas from “Baahubali,” was supposed to be released in January 2023. It was originally scheduled to hit theatres on August 11, 2022.

T-Series producer Bhushan Kumar and Raut visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine to seek blessings for “Adipurush,” which also stars Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh.

Someone responded to the post by writing, “It’s not the actors’ fault, it’s not their fault. However, even the poster does not appear to be promising.” “Worst adaptation,” one Instagram user commented. “Just imagine Prabhas’ Baahubali look of long hair as Lord Rama… it would have been awesome,” one commenter said. “Better to drop this project, Prabhas anna (brother),” said another.

Kriti discussed Adipurush with the news agency PTI last month “The entire team is extremely proud of this film. I hope and pray that others will be equally proud of it. It is something that is extremely important to all of us. It is just not a film for us, it is way more than that. I hope it receives its due. I’m confident it will. It is critical to tell these stories. It is beneficial to children. I believe that if I hadn’t seen it back then, today’s children would not have seen it either.”
