Twitter ‘Dogecoin’ Logo: Twitter’s classic bluebird emblem has been replaced with the “doge” meme in an odd turn of events. Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, acknowledged the upgrade by posting a conversation and replied “as promised.” Musk purchased the social media behemoth for $44 billion last year.

The Shiba Inu dog meme, which is also the logo of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, has taken the place of Twitter’s blue bird. Surprisingly, the modification to Doge is only available on Twitter’s site version, not the Twitter app.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has frequently made news for introducing new policies and adjustments to the microblogging service since taking over in October of last year. Continuing in this vein, the 51-year-old millionaire posted another update to Twitter, this time replacing the iconic “blue bird” emblem with the “doge” meme of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The ‘doge’ meme displays a Shiba Inu’s face.

The ‘blue bird’ emblem, in particular, has worked as a home button for the web version. On Monday, Twitter users noticed the “doge” meme, which is part of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency emblem and was created in 2013 as a joke.

Musk also tweeted a comical post on his account in which the ‘doge’ meme is in the automobile and informs a police officer, who looks to be looking at his driver’s licence, that his photo has been updated.

It is worth noting that the doge image (of a Shiba Inu) is well-known as the logo of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency, which was founded in 2013 as a joke to ridicule other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, according to Variety.

Twitter’s CEO also released a screenshot of a chat he had with an anonymous account on March 26, 2022, in which the latter requested that the bird emblem be changed to “doge.” Musk commented on the post on Twitter, “As promised.”

Dogecoin, a specialised cryptocurrency, increased by more than 30% on Monday after Twitter CEO Elon Musk replaced the blue bird on his company’s website with a shiba inu, the digital coin’s mascot.

On Friday, attorneys for Twitter and Musk urged a federal judge to dismiss a $258 billion lawsuit from 2022 that claimed Musk of manipulating the price of dogecoin and drove it up by more than 36,000%.

Musk published a meme about the change to his 133.5 million Twitter followers after the Twitter logo was changed to a shiba inu image. The dog appeared exclusively for select Twitter users, including those on the company’s website.
