Auto Expo 2023: At the ongoing Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki unveiled its eVX electric SUV concept. It previews the brand’s first model built on EV architecture.

The eVX EV SUV concept (codenamed: YY8) is a mid-size electric SUV concept dubbed “Emotional Versatile Cruiser”. It is built on a new dedicated EV platform developed in collaboration with Toyota. The car has a length of 4,300 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,600 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

 

The eVX concept SUV has a rugged appearance with chunky wheel arches and a bold front end that includes V-shaped headlamp clusters and a silver skid plate. The car gets a sleek LED light bar and a roof spoiler at the back.

According to Maruti Suzuki, the eVX SUV has a 60 kWh battery with a range of approximately 550 km. The eVX will compete with the rumored Hyundai Creta EV and the Tata Harrier EV in production.

Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the Concept Electric SUV eVX on the first day of the 2023 Auto Expo. According to a press release, this reinforces the company’s vision of developing sustainable powertrain systems through continuous technological development and innovation.

At the Indian motor show in Greater Noida, MG Motor is also displaying a number of EVs, including the ERX5, EMG6 sedan, MIFA9 full-range MPV, Marvel R Electric, and MG5 full-electric waggon.

 

The Next Gen Hector series is priced between Rs 14 and Rs 22 lakh. The flagship SUV comes in 5, 6, and 7-seater configurations, with intelligently designed seating options and plenty of space. The 6-seater SUV seats have captain’s chairs, whereas the 7-seater vehicle has bench seats.
