Assam: Reliance Jio launched its 5G services in Guwahati on Tuesday. At 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma formally launched the Jio True 5G service in Dispur.

Reliance Jio has made a 9500 crore investment in Assam. Following the launch of 5G in Guwahati, it will be launched in Silchar.

Jio will invest another 2,500 crores in 5G Standalone Services.


On January 6, the telecom giant launched the 5G service in four more cities in India: Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ludhiana, and Siliguri, bringing the total number of cities with Jio’s 5G services to 72.


According to the company, Jio True 5G was rapidly expanding and was the only 5G service available in the majority of these cities, providing Jio users with transformative technological benefits.

Jio launched fifth-generation mobile system (5G) services in Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, and Kolkata on October 4, 2016, with Nathdwara and Chennai following on October 22.

Jio launched 5G services in Bengaluru and Hyderabad on November 10, 2018, followed by Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad the next day.

On November 23, Pune received Jio 5G services, while 33 districts in Gujarat received them on November 25.

Best Jio prepaid plans 2023:

Rs. 299 Plan: Users receive unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and a daily data limit of 2GB with a total data limit of 56GB with the Rs 299 plan. With a validity of 28 days, this plan also includes free access to Jio apps.

Rs. 666 Plan: With the Rs 666 plan, Jio prepaid users can get 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and a free subscription to Jio apps for 84 days.

Rs 719 plan: This plan includes a daily data limit of 2GB, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and an 84-day plan validity period, as well as free access to Jio Apps.

Rs 749 plan: This prepaid plan includes 2GB of daily data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and complimentary Jio apps for 90 days.

Jio introduced the Rs 2023 plan to commemorate the new year 2023. This plan provides users with 252 days of plan validity, 630GB of data, and a daily data limit of 2.5GB. Users can benefit from unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and free access to Jio apps.

Jio has announced a special offer on the Rs 2999 plan. Users can purchase a 365-day plan with an additional 23-day validity extension. In addition, the prepaid plan includes 912.5GB total data with a daily data limit of 2.5GB. Not to mention free subscriptions to Jio apps such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity, and JioCloud.
