Four Assam Girls In Security Responsibilities Of President, PM and VVIP

Four Assam girls have been entrusted with the security of the President, Prime Minister, Home Minister, and VVIPs. They are Irani Chutia of Dhemaji, Happy Buragohain, Kalpana Das of Sivasagar, and Jyoti Borah of Guwahati.

According to reports, After being recruited by the Delhi Police Special Battalion, the four young women from Assam are now in charge of providing security to VVIPs such as the President, Prime Minister, and Home Minister.

 

On the other hand, In 2019, 41 young women and approximately 84 youths from Assam were recruited after passing the North East Police Examination held in Delhi. Through the recruitment process, Erani, Happy, Kalpana, and Jyoti were also appointed to the Delhi Police Special Battalion.

Meanwhile, a day after NDA announced former Jharkhand governor Droupadi Murmu as its presidential candidate,  was accorded Z+ category security by the Centre.

According to home ministry officials familiar with the situation, the former Jharkhand governor was given security cover based on central intelligence agencies’ assessments of a threat to the Presidential candidate.

Z security:

This security ring has 55 personnel, including CRPF commandos, who guard the protectee 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additional protection with National Security Guard (NSG) commandos is also provided if the need is felt based on intelligence inputs.

While Z+ is the highest level of protection, the country’s most powerful people, including current and former prime ministers, receive additional SPG coverage.

The security category is divided into five groups and assigned to an individual. There are X, Y, Z, Z+, SPG, and other security classifications available.

VIPs and VVIPs, athletes, entertainers, and other high-profile or political figures can all benefit from such security.
