The ULFA (I) warns Assam police over arrest of Youths. The Assam Police harassing the youth of the state physically and mentally on false charges of having links with the outfit.

The ULFA(I) statement came after the youth was allegedly arrested on 9 April in Dibrugarh. The youth was identified as Bhargav Gogoi.

ULFA(I) publicity  wing member Rumel Asom said Gogoi was arrested just because he was a relative of the members from the outfit.

The Insurgent groups has denied the any connection of Gogoi with the outfit. In the statement from the ULFA(I) it is read as,

“We challenge the Assam Police to prove Gogoi’s association with the organisation, The youths are being falsely framed and harassed, we warn of dire consequences against those involved in such tactics”
