Pragyan Bharati Scheme: The ceremonial distribution of scooters for students achieving first division and above took place on November 30, 2022, at 2 PM in Khanapara’s Veterinary Playground.
The scooters were given to girl students who received first division and boy students who received 75% or higher in Higher Secondary Examination, 2022 from Kamrup(M) and Kamrup district under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme.
Today, distributed scooters to meritorious boys & girls of Kamrup & Kamrup (Metro) who scored 75%+ & 60%+ respectively in the last higher secondary examinations conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council under Dr Banikanta Kakati Merit Award.

The Assam State Government has launched the Assam Scooty Scheme, also known as the Pragati Bharti Scheme 2022, to provide scooters to deserving female students. Only meritorious female students who passed the Higher Secondary Examination in the year 2021 with a first-class grade are eligible. Students are given the option of choosing between petrol and electric scooters. According to Assam State Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, education helps people add value to their personalities. He urged the students to improve their innovative abilities in order to succeed in life.
Benefits of Assam Pragyan Bharti Scooty Scheme:
First, the Assam government will provide free textbooks, uniforms, and other school-related supplies to all beneficiaries.
The Assam government has allocated Rs. 1,000 to 1 lakh students for textbooks.
Students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels will receive textbook incentives of Rs. 1500 and Rs. 2,000.
The Assam government will provide Rs. 1000 per month to all students to help with their mess dues.
A one-time education loan of Rs. 50,000 will be provided.
Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
The candidate must obtain a first-class grade in the Assam State Class 12 Government School Examination.
The applicant must attend an Assam government school.
