Cotton University Election Results Are Out: Cotton University Students’ Union Election results are now available, with the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) making its biggest comeback in five years.
Tridib Bhagabati of the AASU-backed RKB Hostel was elected President with a decisive vote margin. Rituraj Saikia of the AASU-backed RKB won the position of General Secretary with nearly 50% of the vote.
Himparna Das was elected Vice President by a margin of at least 500 votes.

Nayana Borah was elected to the position of Assistant General Secretary.
Rimlim Bhuyan has been elected as the Cultural Secretary.
Binoy Deka has been elected as the Debating Secretary.
Priyam D. Jotshna has been elected as the Editor of ‘Cottonian’.
Cotton University (previously Cotton College) is a public state university in Guwahati, India. Cotton College State University and Cotton College merged in 2017 in accordance with an Act passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly.
The University has soared to become one of the top 200 institutions in the country (ranking in the 150–200 range in the National Institutional Ranking Framework in May 2020).
